Enchanted Rock State Park

We chose Monday to go to Enchanted Rock, because it had the best weather forecast. It was perfect. We got there about noon. I didn't climb the rocks because I am still recovering from a knee problem, and I didn't want to take the chance of making that worse. I had to get photos from Ashley... maybe a few from Audrey. There were lots of people there, when we arrived... not many places to park. After they climbed the large rock... we had lunch and playground. Then they took off on a second trail for awhile. They found a "Letterbox" off of that trail. Some fun pics here.

Christmas Lights at Johnson City

We drove to Johnson City on Sunday evening to see the Christmas lights there. I have been wanting to see those for awhile. I always see information about those in Nov/Dec every year. Of course the main area for great lighted trees is the "Electric Company" there ;) And I have some fun doing a few photo filters on some of these... pretty neat effects.

After Christmas Fun

The Petes and the Andersons spent Christmas night at our house, and went home on Thursday afternoon. At that point I was feeling like a cold was coming on, so I went to bed- lol. Friday was our normal temple shift. On Saturday morning we went to Kerrville to clean the church. Then came home, quickly packed, and headed to Marble Falls. We stayed there from Saturday afternoon until Thursday morning. We had three rooms at the Marble Falls Worldmark. The rooms were great... everybody loved the beds- lol. On Saturday evening, after we all arrived, we went to dinner at "Simply Pho House". The first photo is looking out our window to the river. The rest of the photos in this post are from the Christmas lights, near the river, there in Marble Falls. We did those on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning we attended church, had dinner back at the rooms, and then went to Johnson City to see the Christmas lights there. (I will do another post of Johnson City). On Monday we went to Enchanted Rock state park. (another post of that) On Tuesday, we went into Austin. (another post of that). We had a rather quiet New Years Eve. And even quieter New Years Day, at the resort. It was a fun little "staycation" for all of us.

Christmas Decor

I like to take a few pictures of my Christmas decorations... so I can look at those later, when I am too old to decorate- lol. I tried to not do very much this year, because of having the house on the market. But, we weren't bothered by any showings- haha. It took me alot longer to put everything away than I expected...so maybe I got out too much. And since we were gone Dec. 28- Jan. 2, and then had our temple shift and the weekend... I didn't get thing put away until Jan.6. Anyway... here are some of my cute things.
