I have a bit of Halloween out front. Our porch is small! We have two pretty good trees in the front. Some guys came by this week and talked Ron into paying for some tree trimming and haul away. The trees look kind of "naked" now, but the grass will get better sun light. We have a neighbor boy and his dad that take care of our yard.... mowing, edging, trimming bushes, and cleaning up. Ron is pretty spoiled here 😉

Trunk or Treat
Here are a few more Halloween decor pics and then my "trunk or treat" for this year. I don't go all out on Halloween costumes... but I love "trunk or treat". Since we live in a new place I could have used some things from a previous "trunk or treat", but HEB tempted me with the Maleficent Witch 😈😆 After I bought that, I just needed to come up with what else to go with her 😉 Hailey helped me paint the dragon! (We even tried some modge podge and glitter on it.) Usually my main supplies for decorating are tape, food storage cans, cardboard, and plastic tablecloths- haha.
Ashley and Jaden
Here is some thing that Ashley shared recently on Facebook. Great thoughts and we love her so much. She may not realize just how strong she is. Her testimony is awesome and she is a great mom.
"I posted this in my stories and it sparked lots of comments so I felt impressed to share it here. And to follow it up with- everything I am and ever will be is because of my Heavenly Parents and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Had I not gone through this, my testimony would not be what it is today and that’s something that can never be taken away. College sports (or even my senior year of HS sports for that matter) may have been fun but it would eventually end.. Being a pregnant teen in the church and at school was hard but that came to an end. Having very few friends was hard. Missing my “normal” senior year was hard. Being a young single mom for 3 years, trying to work and go to college was hard but it came to an end when I met Daniel and we were married in the temple, as well as sealed to Jaden. Maybe my life didn’t go as planned but I’ve been blessed in ways I never could have imagined. I think of the phrase “This too shall pass” … but the things of eternal value will never pass away and that’s what He lives for. That’s His purpose is to bring to pass our immortality and Eternal life. I may have turned away for a season because I was numb to things of the spirit but when I turned back to Him and let Him in again, He and earthly angels carried me through all the hard. A life of knowing my Savior’s love is far better than any of those temporary dreams I might have had for myself."

New Old Piece of Furniture
Along with my new kitchen color... I have been searching for a painted dresser to use in my dining room for napkins, placemats, and table cloths. I happened to find it last week. It is also a teal color, but much lighter than my kitchen color. I don't even mind the imperfections in the drawers, it adds some character.
Love My Kitchen
I still want to do some more painting in my kitchen and I want Daniel to add some bead board to my bottom cabinets and island... but I love my kitchen 😉😍 I was going to paint all of the cabinets myself, but I found a lady online, on Face Book, that does that for a living. I decided it was better to pay her to do it. I don't love the brown counter tops, but I also don't wait to spend money to replace those yet. If I had her paint all of the cabinets white, the brown counter tops would really "stand out", so I picked a dark, muted teal color for the bottom cabs. The top ones are Dover white and the bottom ones are Jasper Stone. I was surprised that she didn't clean or sand, but must have used a really good primer. (I couldn't get the info from her as to what kind that is). I know the white and teal paint was Benjamin Moore ADVANCE, she left me two cans of that. I especially need the Jasper Stone to paint after Daniel adds bead board and trim. Here are some fun pics of before and after. The first couple of pics are even before the new floor and before the white stove. The next three are "in the process". (When the cabinet doors were all off, Ron could find anything that he wanted in the kitchen- lol. He has trouble with that with the doors on 😉. That's a good excuse for him to not put anything away.) The rest of the pics are "before" and "after". What a difference some paint makes.
One Last Post for Sep 2021
Annie celebrated a birthday this month. I think she made her own birthday cake ;) She also created a book about herself- "Birth to 25". It is an awesome family history keepsake.
Face Book had a memory on it from Sep. 2014- Evie was 6 mos old then. So I grabbed those pics and found a few more recent ones.
Alison also posted some cute pics of Eden. I think I should call my collage, "the many faces of Eden" 😉😍
