Thompsons December

On December 8th, Mike ran a marathon... maybe his last. Here is what he shared on Facebook-

"After 16 years since my first marathon and 9 tries, I finally finished sub 4 hrs, which has been my goal ever since I started. Ran 3:48 in the CIM in Sacramento this morning. 💪🤩🏃 May well retire from marathoning now, but let’s see. Right after is not a good time to decide. Thanks Carrie Thompson for coming to support me, even though it will drive her crazy that I’ve now run one more than her 🤣"

Most years they are traveling somewhere for Christmas, but this year they were just at home. The top picture in the photo collage is from 13 years ago in Spain. The bottom picture was this Christmas. Other picture is them in front of the temple. Then I included a couple of Nicks senior pictures. His senior picture completes my little photo wall in my bedroom. (One of my favorite pictures has always been a picture of Jaden, Nathan, Jared, and Nick, at Sam and Audrey's wedding. Now I have senior pictures of those four boys to go with it.)

PS I added a few more pics to this post, to clear out my other random Dec. pics 😉Mike sent us some "cat toys". The other pics might be from January?? But they are going in my Dec. post. The ice cream picture almost got the boys smiling 😄

Christiansens December

Early in December...Micah had a birthday on the 10th. Then the 13th-17th, Alison and Micah had a little "get away" trip to San Diego, CA. Then they had Christmas at home. Not exactly what they had planned, because some of them were sick. They are the ones that still get "a little kid" Christmas at their house.

Simms December

The Simms celebrated two birthdays. Annie did cookies and/or bread for almost every family in their ward. Alex took Weston and some other boys camping. They did some Christmas at home and then on December 23rd, they rented a minivan and headed for Oklahoma. (Nathan flew to Santa Barbara on Dec. 18). They got to Grove, OK about 7pm on Christmas Eve.

PS I added some more pics to this post. Looks like the popcorn machine at John and Fay's was a hit. Of course we are missing Elder Simms for Christmas. They bought a white pickup from John to drive home. They did Braums and a Thunder game on the way back to CA.
