Just a few cute pics that didn't really need a whole post alone. The cute cartoon faces of the Petes were made by Ashley on a Violo app. Then there are her two GQ guys... Mason and Daniel.

Random Decor
My title needs no explanationπ
The last picture is my cute "stuff" from Port A.
(I got out all of my Fourth of July stuff, since I took these pics. I will post that later.)
New Furniture
Remember my "TV Room for Two" post? My new furniture arrived. Not exactly what I ordered, but since it all fits, I am not sending it back π I had ordered a sofa, a love seat (chair and a half), and another single chair. I got TWO sofas- lol. I love the way that room looks and works now. The spare bedroom had to acquire all of the toys... so not loving it so much. Maybe I can come up with a bit better solution there. Plus our gold recliner that was downstairs came up there and the two wingback chairs went down. I don't like the pillows that came with the sofas, but I will recover them. And... I think I want Daniel to do an accent wall, behind the one sofa.
Happy Fathers Day
This is basically my Facebook post from Sunday... with a few more details. For dinner on Sunday, I bought brisket and ribs from Smokey Mos. (I order those and picked those up on Saturday... then just heated them up for dinner.) Ashley got a pie, cookies, and ice cream. Audrey brought baked potatoes, mac and cheese, beans, coleslaw, and corn on the cob. Huge barbeque Fathers Day meal. Ron's favorite meat is the ribs. I made a cherry pie on Saturday... so we ate that once a day for four days π We usually eat cereal for breakfast on Sundays... so I fixed biscuits and gravy for lunch. We taught our Valiant 10 Primary class at church. Quiet afternoon at home then went to the Pete's house for dinner. The men in our family are a Valiant 10 teacher, 2 Elders Quorum presidents, a Second Counselor in the Bishopric, a Teachers Quorum Advisor, and a Bishop.
Here is my Facebook post-
Happy Fathers Day to all of the valiant men in our family. Ron always thought he was way out numbered in a house full of women, with only one son. Now, he has plenty of son-in-laws to even out the score! These men bring great blessings to our family.

Happy Birthday to Sam
For Sam's birthday, which was Saturday, June 12... Sam and Audrey left on Thursday to go on a little trip to New York City. Our assignment was to stay at their house on Thursday and Friday nights. Get the boys to gymnastic classes and soccer games. Evie was there during the day on Friday. After the soccer games on Saturday, the boys went home with Daniel. Dinner on Thursday evening was Canes chicken... which only Ron and I liked. The boys only ate French fries for dinner. πFriday evening we went to WhataBurger ... which was somewhat better for the boys. Noah wanted chicken strips there- lol. π Figure that one out. The boys were up early on Saturday morning... we just needed to be at the soccer fields by 9:30. The games were at 10 and 12. I knew the heat would be a problem for me, and I didn't realize that I would be "hiking around" a lot of that time. Multiple trips to the car and the bathroom. And a trip to Circle K for drinks. (We didn't go prepared with enough water or drinks.) So by 1 pm, I under estimated how wiped out I would be. I got cooled down, fixed something for lunch, took a shower, and then went to pick up a Nothing Bundt Cake and grocery shop at HEB. At least Ron got to just stay home and relax and watch TV π. Now, it's Sunday afternoon and the Petes and the Andersons are coming here for dinner. Audrey and Sam flew in and out of Austin, so they are coming back now. We are planning on dinner at 6 pm. I cooked roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, bought bread, and cake. Ashley is bringing salad, fruit, and ice cream. I grabbed some pics from Audrey's Facebook posts of their trip and took a few pics of dinner at our house. (The one photo shows the two tables end to end in our dining room/front room... that is how we do Sunday dinners here, now. And I started this post last Sunday afternoon and finished it today, 6/20.)
40 years old... 2021.

BBB Floor Blankets
My newest item for Brown Baby Bird, is floor blankets. (A 34" x 34" mat to go on the floor, for play time and/or tummy time.) I bought some new fabric for those, but I also also using up some pieces of fabric that were too small for a taggie. Those pieces are an applique on a blanket. I did one on the "Sea Turtles" and one on the "Jungle Babies". (I don't have the Jungle Babies taggie finished yet... I decided to use the print fabric that I have on one side and solid on the other. That way I can get two blankets.) Now that I have figured out a good way to sew the cording around the edge, these are really pretty easy to make. (once everything is washed and cut and priced.) I went to JoAnns on Friday and bought some more fabric that I needed, that was on sale. The other thing that happened this week was Ron helped me hang an extra light in my sewing room. It doesn't look great with the black cord hanging down the wall... but it provides the perfect light over my table.
