Friday the 13th

Friday, April 13, we were in Dallas at Ben and Sharie's wedding.

I didn't feel like I could "splash" pictures of the extended Anderson family out on my blog, but Sam, Audrey, and Eli are fair game :) I did include 1 picture of Sam's dad with Eli. Can you tell that Sharie's wedding colors were dark purple and bright orange? Of course I finished up with a little "Eli collage"- what a handsome little man.

Ron and I drove up to Dallas for Ben and Sharie's wedding. (Ben is Sam's brother) We couldn't stay very long, but we enjoyed the wedding ceremony and a great luncheon while we were there. Here is a cute picture of Eli. (Later, I will post a few more pictures. He had on a cute pin stripe suit and purple bow tie for the wedding.)

It Was a Good Friday

I bribed Ron into spending an entire day with me- an "all day date". I say bribed, because I fed him bacon for breakfast- then he hung three new curtain rods in the bedrooms upstairs. Then he fixed the dryer vent and helped me clean up the deck. For lunch we had "What A Burger". (outside on the picnic table that was now cleaned up.) Then he added the 2 bathrooms that I wanted to our (Bandera) house plan, in progress.  Although he negotiated for his own toilet. (should I also make him CLEAN his own toilet? hehe) He also drained and cleaned the hot tub. After that we went out for barbecue dinner and a movie. I chose the restaurant. (there are several places in old Katy, that we need to try out) I let him choose the movie. It was "John Carter"- a pretty strange mars-creature-affair. hehe He was boasting that we had a private showing, until a few more people showed up :) And it was a busy day at the store, without me. (They won't let me be gone for Spring break or the Friday before Easter any more!) Anyway... it was a Good Friday.

Okay in Wylie

Everybody is okay in Wylie. They said it was a "shelter in place day"- Sam at work, Audrey at work, Megan and Eli at the house. Sam called it a day of watching "freakish thunderstorms roll in and out". Audrey said that at one point there was a tornado headed for Wylie- making Megan nervous. There was also a tornado headed for the area where JCP is, where Audrey works, but never actually formed north of Addison.
We are grateful for their safety and protection. (I think that is especially scary when Sam is one place, Audrey is another place and Eli is at a third place.)

Easter is Coming

While I was staying with Alison, we spent one Saturday afternoon sewing.

Here is Emmy's Easter dress. Al cut the bottom off of a onesie and added the cute, ruffled, layered skirt. (She bought fabric that matched the little rosettes that were already on the onesie- yellow, orange, and blue.)

Does this count as an Easter basket???

Maybe just add some grass and eggs!
