Trip to Santa Barbara

For more than year, Annie was planning on us coming to their house, for a couple of weeks to stay with their kids. Even though Ron had the stroke in February, this trip was still planned and scheduled. We flew out there on Tuesday, March 19, and flew back home on Monday, April 1. The first few days the kids were in school and we tried to stay on the normal school day schedule. The full week that we were there was Spring Break. We tried to plan at least one fun activity for each day that week, without spending too much money- lol. Annie's plan was to fly to South America and meet Alex on his way back from Antarctica, to spend a few vacation days there. My biggest challenge with the kids was trying to figure out meals, and what they would eat. I think, it was a good "visit" for everyone. The outings included the zoo, the Moxi Museum, a movie, basketball hoops, the beach, and the Museum of Natural History. Here is my photo OVERLOAD. I got some great pics and also had fun trying some special effects on some. Don't worry Annie, I will send you a book of some sort ;)

New Easter Items from BBB

I made a few Easter taggie sets for my Brown Baby Bird business. I started doing blankets with one side flannel and one side fleece. They need the fleece "weight" , but I love some of the cute prints that are only available in the flannel. When I ordered stuffed animals from Aurora the end of last year, I included some spring animals, like bunnies, ducks, bees and chicks.

Eli's Baptism

Eli's baptism was on Saturday, March 16. It was at their Stake Center building. One other girl was also baptized that day. Sam's mom was here for a few days and Evie came to the baptism.

Friends from Houston

Some of our good friends from Houston came to visit on Monday, March 11. We went to OST for lunch... probably not their favorite food ;)

Eli Turns Eight

Eli's birthday was on Saturday, March 2. There was a Chic Fil A lunch for him and there was our "Sunday Birthday Party" for him. (It is kind of a normal thing for us to celebrate birthdays at our family Sunday dinners) On Wednesday, February 27, we had an appointment with the CPA, which meant I had the perfect excuse to stop at the Lego Store afterwards, to pick out some Legos for Eli. Here are a few photos of both celebrations.

Valentine/Bdays

I don't remember which day we did this, but must have been a Valentine/Birthday party for both Ron and Audrey... seems to happen every year! haha
Maybe on Sunday, the 17th... which was Ron's birthday. (although, I see that we had a temple devotional on that Sunday too... so maybe it was another day. Ron is not the only one with memory problems. He came home from the hospital on Thursday and we took a day off from the temple on Friday. (that was the only temple shift that we missed)
