Jaden and Hazel Birthday Party

On Sunday, December 15, for our normal Sunday-Thompson-Pete-Anderson dinner, we had a birthday party for Jaden and Hazel. It was funny... because Hazel got a big cake with little candles, and Jaden got a couple of pieces of cheesecake bars, with tall candles. Hazel wanted a "frozen cake" ;) I had little Christmas crafts, ornaments, and cookies for the kids to work on before dinner. It was a fun evening. I think Jaden also got some birthday activities on Saturday and Monday. We gave Hazel the white rocking chair and Andersons gave her the cute pig. We gave Jaden a light box, to use to trace pictures and other projects.

Sewing Service Project

There was a lady in Ashley's ward that does a Christmas service project every year to collect baby blankets, to take to the hospitals... or a hospital, not sure exactly where they went. I met Ashley and the kids at JoAnns one day to pick out fabric to make some blankets. Then, she brought the kids out to my house one afternoon to actually cut them out and sew them up. I didn't get any photos of the finished ones... but it was a fun project for the kids. (I had to get these pics from Ashley) Since Hazel was alittle too young to sew...she ate cookies ;)

Christmas Items at Brown Baby Bird

Somehow I managed to get some new inventory made for Brown Baby Bird. I had also been doing some sewing for money... clothing alterations. So for a couple of months I was busy sewing, either "taggies" or dresses. And I discovered some cute statuettes with some of my photos.

Thanksgiving

Since Andersons went to St George for Thanksgiving... we had our family Thanksgiving, the Sunday before. I decided it would be fun to have dinner on the front porch. The weather was perfect. This is as close as I get to a "Martha Stewart" table setting- lol.

A Space Party for Luke

Andersons invited us to come to a fun ... space party, for Luke's birthday. Complete with balloons, cupcakes, hot dogs, aluminum space balls, a space tent, space rocks, and space play dough. Here are a few photos. The best one is Luke and Hazel in the car, in the back yard. (In fact I used that photo to make a couple of Christmas gifts for Audrey and Ashley and me.) We gave Luke the little orange bike. Happy Birthday THREE.

Trunk or Treat 2019

Remember... the only part of Halloween that I like is doing the "Trunk or Treat". I did a fun one this year, that no one saw, because it was cold and rainy the night that we had the Fall Festival at church... so the "Trunk of Treat" stayed inside the cultural hall- lol. I got some good photos though.
