Hailey turned 12 on Friday, July 16. The Petes took her and three friends to Six Flags, for daytime fun. (Although it was hot and busy). Then had dinner and dessert at the house. We had a little birthday celebration on Sunday evening for her. Dinner was pasta, bread, salad, and fruit. She asked me to make a white chocolate, raspberry cheesecake. First time for me to try that 😏 It turned out "okay"... not fantastic. It had too much choc cookie crust and not enough sugar in the raspberry sauce... and not enough sauce. It baked well and cooled without cracking. The shaved white choc on the top was just sitting there and flew off when she blew the candles out. I didn't ask Ashley for gift suggestions... Hailey is pretty easy to "buy for". 😉 The lighting was bad for pictures... but it was consistent for all of them- lol. The last picture is of Ashley and Mason, hugging the fleece blanket that I gave Hailey.

White Cabinets
Here was my project for this past week... two bathrooms with white cabinets now. I wanted to start here, before I attempt the kitchen. Good thing I did. Part of it seems super tough and part of it seems super fragile. I think I need to sand and prime and get a better paint. I love the look... just not super happy with the finish.

Speaking of Cousin Time...
The Thompsons had visitors at their house too. Jon and his family came to see them for a few days. Brenda was also there. I don't know what all of the activities were, but Brenda was there to help take care of the dog ;) I grabbed one pic from FB. Everyone is growing up 😉
Andersons and Christiansens in Utah
The Andersons went a trip to spend some time with Sam's mom and family in St. George, then they met up with Christiansens at the Cougar ranch. (I got pics from them) Looks like fun cousin time.
Red, White and Blue 2
I found 3 more pics and didn't want them to get buried in my previous post by adding them there. So they get a new post of their own 😉😎 The Petes and Eden and Alison.

Red, White and Blue
Just a few pics of my Fourth of July items. In the process of moving, I severely "whittled down" my holiday decor items. On the main floor of our house now... I have several little cute places for decor items...especially near the front door, in the entry way. I love changing things up a bit each month or so. I am still a minimalist, and I can only handle the "clutter" for a short while, but it adds a bit of variety to things. The last pic is my dessert offering for dinner, at the Pete's today. Cookies with red, white, and blue M&M's and cherry pie bars. (that's a cherry pie only "flat"- 😉😋)
Homestead Handcrafts
Brown Baby Bird moved into Homestead Handcrafts this week... to start July 1. The address is 21518 Blanco Rd, San Antonio. Hailey and Ashley came to help me on Wednesday. I have 19 taggie sets there, 6 floor blankets, and 11 "Just a Taggie". I don't' love the way the space works out... but it is okay. We'll see how it goes. It is easy to figure out how to double expenses... let's see if my income doubles- lol 😅
