It was that time again to celebrate Ron and Audrey's birthdays. Nothing very fancy or exciting... but at least something 😄🎉 I had an idea to order bow ties for the men, fancy little hats for the ladies, and colorful sunglasses. We got some fun pictures. Dessert was mostly blackberry rhubarb pie, but I needed a small chocolate cake to put some candles in. 😉Singing "Happy Birthday" was the worst rendition I have ever heard- lol.
For Valentine's Day, which was a Friday this year, Ron and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant... El Chapparal, in Helotes. I love the cheese enchilada and a shrimp enchilada. Ron usually gets the shrimp enchilada dinner. It was perfect, as usual. The first picture is a Valentine craft that I need to do for next year. Hailey helped make Valentine's Day special at their house.

Carrie went on a little trip to Spain by herself... hence "selfie pics"- haha 😃😍
On the Sunday of the Superbowl game, we went to Petes for dinner. (Andersons were gone that weekend for gymnastics.) The only picture that I got was of my "football" cake. I could care less about watching the game... but it was fun to spend family time with the Pete's. I shared a funny post on Facebook.
I put out my Valentine decor during the last week of January. When I posted one of those pictures on Facebook for my cover photo, Ron's sister asked if it was Valentine's already- lol. Yep! And when the neighbor ladies came over to play cards and were commenting on my Valentine decor... I said, "Yep. I change decorations on a monthly basis". 💘💖😂
Here are a few more "January things". Todd Thompson came to San Antonio for a work trip. He was hoping to have lunch with Audrey while he was here, but she was busy, so he got us instead. 😎 We had lunch at Pinkertons and then went to visit the Alamo. It was a good afternoon. Ron finished a bear puzzle that I had purchased in Canada last summer... it was difficult. Nathan celebrated a birthday and Owen had a "golden birthday" party, for his birthday in December. I grabbed pics from Annie for Nathan and Owen. And Brown Baby Bird has been slow for January. Plus I was late getting some Valentine items in there.
