he will still wear a tie occasionally :)
Ron has been officially retired now for one month. It has been strange, needless to say. It seems like there is a football game on TV every night. He trys to still play basketball, two evenings a week. He has been building a small table on the backyard deck. Many mornings, we don't even set the alarm. We had an interesting conversation last week. I told Ron that he is very generous giving away his money for Christmas. I am very generous, spending his money for Christmas. Those two things combined could be a problem at the end of the month. Ron said, "there is no end of the month any more, only the end of life". hehe (He does have a lead on a part time job- that might off set the money going out with some more money coming in :)

Favorite Nativity
Our Christmas gift last year, from our kids, was this nativity set.
I love it :)
I bought this angel, this year, to go with it.

Christmas Day Playtime
Hailey's Mega Block castle.
Papa, playing with Hailey's Mega Block castle :)
Hailey's kitchen set. This is what she REALLY REALLY wanted.
The kids got lots of really cool toys.
Daniel playing with Jaden's Marbulous set :)
I thought the plan was that Santa would bring two gifts and then the kids would get 1 gift from Ashley and Daniel and 1 gift from Baba and Papa...but some how lots more stuff showed up. I guess that is the magic of Christmas- hehe.
Christmas Morning
BEFORE
AFTER
IN BETWEEN
The fun began about 7 am. Santa was very good at our house :) We all took turns opening presents. These are just a few of the highlights. About mid morning we had cereal, eggs, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Then "play time" the rest of the day, with all of the fun new toys! (those pics in a second post :)

All I Know...
is that Santa's sleigh was a lot lighter after leaving our house!
(I'll be back later, after my nap, with more pics.)
