Christiansens and Bike Fun + Homecoming

Christiansens have been busy with bike races. There have been some challenges along the way. In the one picture of Emmy, she is actually in an ambulance, because she was having some heart issues. There were a few crashes and some forgotten shoes, and some course changes. I knew things were pretty serious when Alison called and the first thing she said was "everyone is alive and the bikes are okay." 😏Then other pics are Emmy's date to Homecoming and Dallin's date to Homecoming. Somehow these kids are growing up fast- lol

Simms Pics Updated

Annie updated some pics on her blog, that I grabbed. Alex and Owen went on a little trip together in Sept.

Andersons and Water Fun

The first time that Andersons took the boat out on Lake Medina was the weekend of my birthday. They went on Monday afternoon. Then in October, Audrey took the boys on a little weekend trip to the Cibolo River near Marion, TX.

Time Moves On

This September was my 70th birthday. I didn't really want that, but there was no stopping it. lol 😏😐

In reality, I am doing pretty well for 70. I haven't had any major surgeries, my cholesterol is slightly high, so that is the only prescription that I take, I am trying to lose some weight, no other significant concerns. I walk about 2 miles several times a week. (I would like to do that 6 days a week, sometimes other things mess up my schedule.) We eat a high protein, low sugar, low fat, low carb diet. I went back on the Weight Watchers app. Still stuck with that. πŸ˜‰I just started a magnesium supplement and I am trying to "guard" my sleep, hoping that will reduce cortisol, to reduce belly fat. Anyway... back to my birthday. Annie showed up to surprise me and Audrey planned a party and activities. She backed off of her original party idea when she realized that I wasn't very excited about this birthday. Annie arrived on Saturday evening... ate dinner with us and Ashley... I was cooking chicken enchiladas. Sunday was normal church, but then family dinner for Sunday evening was a "trip down memory lane". Complete with dinner, Little Debbie dessert, and a "drive-in" movie. On Monday, the girls went to a little activity in Boerne, to embellish some old photos of me. Then we went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. After that Andersons and a couple of the Petes went to the lake to take the boat out. On Tuesday afternoon, us, Annie, and Audrey went to the temple to do sealings. Then dinner with Ashley at Rudy's. Annie left on Wednesday to head back home. She had some flight issues, but made it home late that night. (I grabbed a few of Annie's photo collages from her blog.) Annie gave me the two little firefly lanterns for outside.

September Mushrooms and Pumpkins

I made some new table runners to go with my "mushroom decor"... they are actually mushrooms and pumpkins, so my September decorations are mushrooms and a few pumpkins. That added a nice "fall touch", after my sunflowers. I like my teal mushroom table runners better, so I still used them too. I also have a "just mushrooms" table runner, so I used that too. Annie showed up for my birthday (I will get to that soon), but she couldn't believe that I have enough mushrooms for decorations πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œWhen she asked me about that, I said "stuff happens around here"- lol.

Other August Pics

Just a few other random pics from August. Alison celebrated a birthday too. Simms had one week with everyone home!

Mason & Noah Birthday

Andersons hosted a "Karaoke Party" for Mason and Noah's birthday. It was a fun party, right on their birthday. Mason made his own "planet cake". Everyone loved singing along with the karaoke machine and screen. (Especially Luke 😁😎) I made cute little birthday collages and tucked a $50 bill in the back πŸ˜‰
