Easter was very early this year... on the first Sunday of April... and the same weekend as General Conference. (Just an interesting bit of information- Another time that happened was in April 1836. The weekend after the dedication of the Kirkland temple and was the date of the Kirkland temple visits by Heavenly messengers.) Anyway... it was kind of tough to manage Easter and General Conference together. Our stake decided to have a Sunday morning brunch and broadcast at the buildings. I didn't realize until we were there that would be fun for the YM and YW to be together for that activity. It was fun to watch Eli and Noah and their friends. We decided to have dinner Sunday evening at the Andersons and with the Petes. Audrey put together an egg hunt, and I put together a little candy bag game. (Ashley had purchased a large Yatzee set, so there was a fun "large" dice to use for my game.) Hailey made a yummy carrot cake. Everything was pretty simple, but fun. The kids needed some normal fun time together. I also included my Easter decor pics in this post. It is always hard to leave the holiday decorations out "after" the holiday. (So April has been a long month, before my May decor đŸ˜‚)
