Halloween BGR Style

The Andersons joined us for the neighborhood Halloween picnic, hayride, and truck-or-treat. The Andersons had great costumes from "UP". It was a bright sunny day... in fact a bit too warm for the hayride. (The one dark photo of my suburban "trunk" was from the Fall Festival at the church.)

A Bit of Halloween Decor

For the Fall Festival at church, I set up a photo booth room. I also decorated my suburban for trunk-or-treat. (at the church and at BGR) More pics to come in another post. The skeleton in the bubble bath turned out super cute. Also, the bubbles that I added to the witches pot are amazing.

Still Public

I didn't make my blog private yet. I am going to "catch up" for the rest of 2018... then print my book... then make it private. I will try to get in touch with those of you, who I think, look at this blog. Or you can always message me on Facebook or send me an email. Deb

It's Time

It's time for me to make this blog private. I have traffic coming from unknown sources and questionable websites. I will need an email address from you... if you still want to see my blog. I am trying to figure out the best way to get those, without publishing them out here. Maybe just leave me your name in a comment and then I will figure out how to contact you. I don't want to publish my email out here either. I will give this a try and if it isn't successful, I will come up with a new plan.

Taggies and Toys

My main product is the Taggie blanket and toys. I love making these things...they are a fun combination of color, texture, and patterns. They are my original design. The fleece fabric turns out to be 17x17, with 2 inch ribbons around the edge. I have to admit...it's not quite as much fun making them in "assembly line style", but again... I was amazed at how many I could finish. I spent one entire day cutting over 2500 pieces of 5 inch ribbon- lol :) Here are a few of my favorites. Brown Baby Bird in the Making

As I mentioned in my previous post I have been amazed at what I was able to accomplish in a month. Here are a few pics of some of my merchandise in the making. The fun part is the "photo taking" and the "blanket sewing"... but then comes tons of other details, tracking inventory, pricing, packaging, printing of cards and other items, advertising, and displaying. Amazon, UPS, AdoramaPix, and Vista Print are my business partners!!- lol :)

I Have Been Busy

I reason I have gotten behind on my posts here...is because I have been busy. On Friday, Sept.7, I saw an ad on Facebook saying that the old "Gingerbread House" had been purchased...would be remodeled, and they were looking for vendors, for a new Cedar Street Market. I called the number on the ad and told the lady that I was interested. The rest is history. I worked like crazy from Sept.8 to Oct.8. I have been amazed at how much I was able to accomplish in that time. Also, I can see the hand of God, helping me out and I can see His hand in the details and the timing of this adventure. I was able to get started as a retailer for the Aurora stuffed animals, edit and print lots of my animal photos, cut up all of my fleece fabric and ribbon and make lots of Taggie blankets. It is a strange combination of items to sell... but it is what I can produce and package and market. Ron helped me set up a spreadsheet for inventory and he helped me move furniture and display items to the building. They did a great job remodeling and they have a great assortment of vendors and merchandise. Heather Welch is sharing a space with me and selling her crocheted toys and her handmade purses and wallets. The name of my business is Brown Baby Bird. A fun combination of photos and baby toys. I will do several posts... instead of one giant one.

Exciting new business venture!! Vendors needed! We are planning to open the old Gingerbread House building to vendors! We have three successful businesses we will be combining into this amazing location but it’s just too much space for us...we would like to share it with others! Please let us know if you would be interested! Building will be used for succulent arrangement and chalk painting classes, metal art and talavera items just to start!
