August Events

The first thing that happened in August was the Pete's closed on their house. So they moved out of our house ;) I spent a week cleaning and washing bedding... then we relisted our house. This time with River Realty, here in Bandera. We came down a bit on the price and we had one little nibble- someone scheduled a showing on Saturday 31... but then canceled at the last minute. August 15-19, us, Andersons, and Petes spent a long weekend in New Braunfels. I had booked three rooms there at the Worldmark New Braunfels. August 28- September 2, the Christiansens were here. On Thursday they just hung around with us, on Friday they hung around with Ashley and the Andersons. On Saturday, we went to the Bandera Longhorn Parade, and then had another epic birthday party. This one for Alison, Mason, and Noah. I will do the New Braunfels weekend and the birthday party as separate posts.

Worldmark New Braunfels

We have been trying to make an effort to use up our Wyndham points and then get rid of our time share. The Simms used some points at a resort in CA, during August. I booked three rooms at the Worldmark New Braunfels. Us, the Andersons, and the Petes, did a "stay cation" for a long weekend there. We arrived there on Thursday evening, August 15 and checked out on Monday, August 19. It was fun to do something different than our normal routines. Audrey had to work, from their room, on Friday, while Sam entertained the boys. I have pictures from a splash park, a children's museum, the resort, and the river. Again... good "cousin time".

Celebrating Hailey's Tenth Birthday.

Audrey planned another awesome ... activity filled... birthday party! Get ready for photo overload :)
I made an ice cream cake and Audrey planned everything else. They made crazy cookies and rolls. My kitchen was covered with flour when they were done- lol. There was a black curly wig, a gold chef hat, and gun to shoot money. And of course there were judges- Audrey, Sam, Ron, and Ashley.
