Other Thanksgiving Pics

I rounded up a few other Thanksgiving pics. Mike, Carrie, the boys, and Brenda were at Jons house in Jacksonville, OR.  Mike and Carrie ran a cold 8-mile race on Thanksgiving morning. (Carrie had frozen eyelashes and hair by the end.) The "boys" had a few activities on Friday. John and Angela were with Enola, Cris, and Jaxon. The Simms were with Grace's family. (Grace was getting ready to do home MTC and then on the Provo, and then on to Mongolia for her mission.) Jaden did one Thanksgiving post with his girlfriend.

The Giving Machines

Each year, our church does a "Light the World" Christmas theme, which includes some "Giving Machines". They were back here in San Antonio again this year. We went with the Petes and the Andersons and Debbie Anderson, on Monday, Nov. 25th. It was a fun evening downtown. I was disappointed that there weren't more Christmas lights and decorations at the Pearl shopping center. I got a few pics. That week of Thanksgiving was a pretty "social" week for us. We did that activity on Monday evening. We went out to Bandera on Tuesday evening to have dinner with the Simmons, and to deliver Moriah Carlson's wedding dress to her. (I had done alterations on it Monday and Tuesday- her wedding was on Nov. 30... so I was on a "quick time frame for that".) We went to the Petes for Thanksgiving dinner. Then on Saturday evening, we went to Kerrville for dinner with Simmons and sister Reeves, then Moriah's wedding reception. That was a pretty "peopley" week for us.

Dallin and Eden Birthdays

Dallin turned 14 on Nov. 9 and Eden celebrated "4" on Nov. 24. I grabbed a few pics from a couple of GroupMe posts. They were at home for Dallin's birthday. They were in Phoenix, at Micah's sister's house for Eden's birthday.

Luke's Baptism and Birthday

I should have done this post before my last one, to be in chronological order- haha. Anyway... Luke's 8th birthday was on November 18th. We celebrated that birthday and his baptism on Saturday, November 23. My assignment for the birthday party was "Crabby Patty Cupcakes"... they turned out cute. The baptism program was amazing. Tim Bert sang a song, Sam's mom did the talk on baptism, I did the talk on the Holy Ghost, the Andersons sang a song, and then there was a fun closing song with Luke's friends and some bells. Then the theme at home for lunch and birthday party was Sponge Bob. Audrey had some cute underwater decorations. Tim and Evie joined in... and Fishers... and Sam's mom... and the Petes... and us.

Soccer, Pickleball, and Thanksgiving

Hazel ended her soccer season with an amazing goal. There were several things that had to happen to put her in the position to make the winning goal, of her last game. The other team scored, then Jabari scored. Then it ended in a tie, then a shootout. Several goals were made, and several were missed, when it came to Hazel's turn, if she made a goal, they would win. She scored!! Ashley missed all of that excitement because she was playing in a last minute Pickleball tournament on that day. Later that week, the Petes hosted a Friendsgiving dinner at their house, for their Pickleball friends. Then the next week, they hosted Thanksgiving dinner at their house. Hailey was excited to host and she made two pies for dessert... a pumpkin pie and a blueberry pie. There were five pies for dessert, Sam air fried a turkey, Ashley made friend chicken legs in an air fryer, and then lots of side dishes were contributed. Sam and Audrey invited a guest and Ashley invited two guests. (then us and Andersons, for a total of 15). It was nice. And I got my turkey sandwich the next day for brunch. My pie was messy... it ran over the edges... it was rhubarb/strawberry/blackberry. I also made homemade cranberry sauce, that turned out yummy.
