From Dust We Came...

And unto dust we shall go.
If that is true,
I think someone died on the landing above our front door :)
(I'm alittle behind on the house cleaning)

I have a friend who recently did a post about catching lizards and dust bunnies. We haven't had very many lizards, but we have the dust bunnies! I think it's time to spring-- oh wait, too late for that, I mean, fall clean. The pics. may not represent the true situation :) More dust to the naked eye, than the camera. In order to clean that landing, it's two steps. I have a brush with a really long handle- just lean over the railing, sweep it off and let it fall to the floor below. Then go downstairs and vacuum it up. Why do they build such spaces (dust catchers) in homes anyway?

Date Night

Ron planned our date night for tonight. We will both leave work early. I will leave the store at 4:00 and pick him up about 4:15. Our date will include dinner...

in the car- sandwiches, that I made this morning. Then 4 hour shift at the peanut butter factory from 5:30- 9:30. Do you think our date nights could use alittle excitement? :) We might get to stand next to each other and put lids on jars, put jars in boxes, or sort peanuts.

Happy B Day

Now that I have 3 computers that I use, for 3 blogs, 1 website, and FB - life is complicated to have the right pictures that I need on the right computer, at the right time. This picture was the best I had on this computer :) You are just lucky that all of the baby/childhood pics. are at home :) Recently we celebrated A3's graduation- today is the day to celebrate her birthday! The big "25"! Have a great day.

Thorny Home Security

Early in the spring we got off to a good start with a garden and the grass and the plants in the yard. Then we started having problems- soil problems, bug problems, water problems etc. These resulted in a bad garden and big brown spots in the grass. There is one thing though that grows profusely by the front door. It could be called an "attack bush", since we don't have an attack dog to guard the front door. If I had known when I planted it how it would grow, I would have not planted it where it is. It started out as a few innocent looking bushes, in small pots, with bright pink flowers on them. Little did I know that among the blossoms would be huge thorns. Needless to say, Ron has to keep trimming it just to keep it from grabbing anyone who comes to the front door. And the worst part is that it rarely ever blooms any more- just a huge thorn bush!! So if you are ever at the garden center looking at cute bushes with cute blooms- think twice before buying them :) It's called a Bougainvillea.
