I did get one picture of Ashley and me for Mothers Day. The rest of these pictures are just cute ones, that I grabbed from Facebook or Instagram... beautiful Ashley.

Mothers Day for Alison

Here are pics of beautiful Alison from Mothers Day. I guess she gets the spotlight for having the most kids in our family ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Actually, it's because she posted pics where I could get them- lol ๐Ÿ˜‚We hosted Mothers Day dinner at our house. Andersons wanted to do it, but they didn't get back from Utah until Saturday evening. That's not much time to plan Sunday dinner for everyone. I fixed the whole meal... giving Audrey and Ashley a break from cooking. It was just simple stuff. Mothers Day is more about our beautiful daughters and daughter-in-law than it is about me. We have an amazing family who love the gospel and they are raising amazing families.

Staying with Andersons

On Wednesday, May 8, Sam and Audrey flew to Utah to go to a wedding for Sam's niece on Thursday. They stayed until Saturday. (Arriving back home on Saturday evening.) We stayed at their house on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Evie took care of the daytime things. We would take the boys to school and then come home for a while, then go back in the evening and spend the night. We also spent Saturday from 2- 7:30 with the boys. On Thursday evening Noah had a strings concert and art show at his school. Here are a few fun pics from that event.

Today is Ashley's Birthday

Today is Ashley's 37th birthday. For dinner last Sunday, she made most of her own dinner and her own birthday cake. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŽ‰She posted some pics from preschool today... someone brought her a cake. I am giving her a San Antonio temple pic that she wanted. Daniel and the kids are taking her out for dinner and ice cream. (We need to spend the evening and the night at Andersons. Audrey and Sam are leaving this afternoon to go to a wedding in Utah. We will be spending 3 nights at their house and be home during the day.) Here are a few " Beautiful Ashley photos". Daniel shared the last three pics, for Ashley's birthday, with the "You Are My Sunshine" song.

A New Door and Windows

So... to make a long story short, our neighbors had new windows installed in their house last summer. I thought that they looked great. Ron was not very enthusiastic about them or spending the money for such things. But... he changed his mind and said, "yes". For a couple of days last week, there were men here cutting, burning, and breaking out the old windows. I have to admit that it was messier than what I expected. We have 14 new windows and a new front door. (Our old front door was in okay shape, but the trim around it was broken and the seal around it was not good. We figured that out with the last cold weather in January, with how much cold air was coming in around the door. And I didn't really like the stained wood color.) All of the windows were super difficult to open and pretty much impossible to clean. These windows are amazing... easy to open and easy to clean... slightly tinted. We can already tell the difference in the air conditioner, everything sealed up better. Ron didn't want to give up his computer time, even when they were ripping out the window near his desk. They replaced the window upstairs by my desk without even harming the wallpaper and the plastic trim. I love the new door... Felted Wool color. They also replaced some of the trim boards on the outside that were water damaged. We have another company coming next week to repair and paint all of the siding and trim on the house. Our house should be in really good shape after that ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Ž

Jared is a Senior

This is Jared's last year of high school. He has done very well in track and running. When they were at our house for Christmas, we found him a running buddy, so he could keep up his normal running schedule even on Christmas vacation. Annie has shared various videos of his events. The most recent pictures that she shared were him and his prom date. Super cute couple... or should I say "handsome and beautiful"!
