Thompsons in Jamaica

Here is Carrie's brief description to go with the photos of their trip to Jamaica-

Let the relaxation begin! We made it to Jamaica for some fun in the sun and sand in our toes😄 I don’t plan on moving very far from the beach and pool this week…maybe walk to get some food. We all just want to sit down and recuperate from the crazy busy lives we’ve been leading this past year. Perfect day of doing nothing but laying by the pool. We had to drag the boys out at 5:00pm…they were raisins. The boys lookin’ good in their new sunglasses and Mike wore the shirt my mom got him for the trip. This morning we went to Blue Hole for some fun jumps at the waterfall and rope swinging. Ryan had fun at Blue Hole…he just forgot to tell his face. We took a catamaran out snorkeling near Mahogany Bay and then the cruise took us to Dunn River Falls, where we climbed 960 meters of waterfall to the top. Great fun and only once did I think I was going to slip and find myself in a terrible position.

Random Pics for March

Here are a few random pictures for March... then I can move on to April 😉😏

For more than a month I had gotten behind on my "Sunday blogging". Today is April 18 and while I have many other projects around the house to be working on... I took a "day off" and blogged instead. I won't be completely caught up, but closer than I was. My Sunday afternoons have been busy for awhile.

I have a small black shelf in the downstairs bathroom, that I love to set small decor items on. I finally found the perfect COLOR of items for there... not even a specific holiday. I also have a front load frame in that bathroom, that I change the picture pretty often. Cute rabbit right now.  Then four cat pics 😸. One pic of how I do individual servings of biscuits and gravy. I slice the sausage and then freeze those slices. The biscuits are frozen. And I make about 1 cup of gravy. Super quick and much easier than larger quantities. Then a few taggie pics.

Simms to the Grand Canyon

For a Spring break trip, the Simms went with some friends to the Grand Canyon. I don't have details but looks like it was fun. I know that they drove there... going through LA to leave the dog at a kennel. They went to the Grand Canyon, Montezuma's Castle, Devil's Bridge in Sedona, Sunset Crater and the Phoenix temple.  I think they rented a large house to stay. They had gone to Sunset Crater in 2012. Annie tried to recreate a couple of photos. 😉😎 They are the last four pics on the post. Here are the pictures that Annie shared.

St. Patricks Day

In between Emmy and Evie's birthdays was St. Patricks Day.  I don't have very much decor for that holiday. There aren't very many cute things for St. Patricks Day. All Ron got here was some cookies with green M&M's in them. Annie was the one that went all out and all green for that day.

March Birthdays

Eli- March 2, Emmy- March 8, and Evie- March 22.

I gathered up a few pics from those three birthdays. We did a little family birthday for Eli on Sunday, March 6. I made an ice cream sandwich cake... again ;) Andersons had a busy week or so and a couple of busy weekends. They had a friend party at a "bounce place", but we didn't go to that and Eli has been busy with gymnastics. The pics of Emmy and Evelyn came from Alison. Here is what she said with her birthday posts-

Emmy: We did a thing for her birthday. She's 10!!! And so mature beyond her years. Can't wait to see where this girl goes in life. She amazes me every day! More pics from this evening... I especially love the one of all my girls!

Evelyn: Notice anything new? This girl is 8 and we've had a lot of fun celebrating her this week. She's got a heart of gold and we love her so much. She loves unicorns and rainbows and donuts. She was probably most excited about getting her own watch that she can listen to books and music on.

Carrie Update

Here is a post from Carrie recently. They are just super busy with "boys life". 😉

We have hit the stage of life where we spend our lives in the car and our Saturdays at sports events. Today Ryan competed in his first track meet, running the 400m, 100m and doing the high jump. Off to a soccer game this afternoon. If we’re not watching Ryan, we’re watching Nicholas’ water polo. I’m grateful for a good car that gets lots of mileage every week and for living in a place with beautiful weather. Oh, and for my better half who is playing passing ships with me right now.

Wave "Hi" to Ryan 😀😎
