Three More Birthdays

Emmy, Evelyn, and Bethany all celebrated a birthday. 12 for Emmy, 10 for Evelyn, and the big "one" for Bethany. Such pretty girls. We wish we could see them more often, but I have to settle for whatever pics get shared on social media 😉😍 My birthday gifts for the grandkids have been pretty lame for a while now. A card with $20 in it. Not very exciting, but at least I am consistent. And Christiansens always to a Marco Polo when they open up the card. I didn't want to send money to Bethany, so I ordered a personalized book for her.

Easter Dinner

Easter dinner was at our house. I made turkey, ham, salad, sweet potato casserole, and crackers & cheese. (The cheese and crackers were the little yellow chicks) I also made a small Easter "bowl" of treats and candy, for each of the kids. Sam made his famous dinner rolls and Audrey made her famous orange fluff Jello. Ashley brough carrots and dessert. By accident we ended up with almost all of the side dishes that were "orange"- lol. Audrey planned an evening, glow-in-the-dark, egg hunt for the kids. The eggs each had a small glow stick in them and a piece of paper with a "letter". The letters spelled out words for prizes... like "puzzle". Whoever completed the word with the last missing letter, got the prize. Of course, everyone wanted the "CASH" prize and there was some extra scheming to try to get that. As it turned out, one of the eggs was lost, with the last "S" letter in it. (I found it in the yard a couple of days later after we had a hail and windstorm.) There were also confetti eggs to break on each other.  The last picture was after Audrey got home that evening. She actually worked on making the bread while at our house. Anyway... it was a fun evening. We tend to take for granted the Sunday evenings that we spend with the Petes and the Andersons. We are always missing everyone else.

Easter People

All of our kids posted family Easter photos... yeah!! I grabbed what I could to put here. Everyone looks great. Annie's hair is especially beautiful and of course all of the grand kids are growing like crazy. The Simms were even color coordinated. The picture of Mike, Carrie and the boys, must have been taken on some steps. I am sure that Carrie and Nick are not as short as they look. 😉 We are so grateful that all of our children and grandchildren love the gospel of Jesus Christ and Easter is special holiday for them. We are also grateful for their service and dedication to their wards. On Easter Sunday, since there was only Sacrament meeting, Ron and I had absolutely no responsibilities for that day. What a great thing it was to just go to church and enjoy everything. That time will come for our children and their spouses, but right now they are in the "thick of service and callings".

Easter Stuff

Just pics of my "stuff"- lol. Easter was super early this year on March 31. The last pic is my newest picture of Christ. I love it... perfect colors for my "totally tan" walls- lol.

Eli BDay

Eli turned 13. Here is what Sam posted- "I’m officially a parent of a teenager. I couldn’t be more proud of our amazing 13 year old! He is respectful, kind, patient, goal-oriented, and such a great big brother. Thank you to @eviebirt for making his special day so memorable taking him to see Matthew West. "
