G2 (Gratitude #2)
The 2nd thing I am thankful for is called a "church family". All parents know that the kids grow up, leave home, get married and have a family of their own. That's how the plan works. Then the "empty nesters" are left to fend for themselves and worry about how the kids are doing. Ron and I worry a bit less than most parents, because we know that no matter how far away the kids are, they have a church family to help them when we can't. Our church family is world wide. Places like Bulgaria, Belgium, Finland, South Africa, Venezuela, and even (believe it or not) southern California, all have a church family there. No matter where our kids live, there will always be a church family for them. This past week that church family provided a "trunk or treat" activity for all of our kids and grand kids to have fun at :) On a more serious note, in Wylie, Stillwater, Pleasant Grove, Lehi, and Dublin there are bishops, relief society presidents, home teachers, visiting teachers, primary teachers and others that take good care of our children and grand children. Ron and I give thanks on a daily basis for those people.
